17 states ask high court to make EPA rule on greenhouse emissions

WASHINGTON – A multistate petition asking the U.S. Supreme Court to require a ruling from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency on whether it will regulate motor-vehicle greenhouse gas emissions was filed today by Rhode Island, Massachusetts, 15 other states, three communities and 11 enviromental groups.
