Kopin posts 3Q profit, record revenue

TAUNTON – Transistor and microdisplay maker Kopin Corp. (Nasdaq: KOPN) today posted a third-quarter profit of $1.5 million, compared with a year-ago loss of $387,168, on revenue that grew 5.1 percent to a record $30.7 million. The company cited its decision to focus on high-margin applications, de-emphasizing sales of lower-end consumer electronics.

R.I. OKs higher Medigap rates for 2009
CRANSTON – Medicare subscribers who buy supplemental coverage through the state’s two largest insurers will see their rates increase next year, though by less than the companies had asked, under the 2009 rates just approved by the R.I. Citizens increases R.I. deposit dominance
WASHINGTON – Citizens Bank’s dominance in Rhode Island in terms of deposits got wider in the past year as its deposits increased by $3.43 billion – or 35.4 percent – while deposits at Bank of America Corp. and Sovereign Bank grew at a much slower clip.

MySpace and HP Work on Printing Your Profile Photos
MySpace and HP have teamed up on a deal that will see HP printing technology used across multiple areas on MySpace, including all photo sections. You will be able to easily print pictures from not only people's profile photos, but ones that are inserted into blog posts, comments, messages, etc.

The first stage of the partnership is anticipated to include an HP branded print button enabling MySpace users to preview and print photos directly from their MySpace profiles.
