Health care copay unlikely for R.I. lawmakers
Rhode Island is one of only two states in the nation that pay the full cost of health insurance coverage for legislators and their families, including dental and optical care. Despite House support for a copayment, Senate resistance makes that unlikely even as lawmakers wrestle with a deficit of at least $400 million for next fiscal year.
