Northeast leads nation in farm prices
ITHACA, N.Y. – “While commercial and residential development has slowed in many regions, farm real estate values continue to increase,” according to a U.S. Department of Agriculture report that set the average price per acre this year at a record to a record $2,350. Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Connecticut had the highest values, helping make the Northeast the priciest of 10 regions nationwide.
