A Good Idea By Any Other Name (Is Still A Good Idea)
A new term for an old (but more sensible than ever), IT option has started floating around the ethersphere... it's SaaS, as in Software as a Service.
As far as we're concerned, whether it was ASP or SOA, and now SaaS, for almost as long as the Internet has been in widespread use, it's been smart to "rent" the use of software rather than buy, for many many reasons. Not the least of which is the benefit of "connectedness" that online applications inherently bring.
